The Journey Awaits…

This is all very new to me. Yesterday, I bought a domain name, set up Instagram and Facebook pages. There’s a lot of unknowns with starting this whole business. I personally have a goal of building a nonprofit that is going to change the lives of many. When I am working on this business, it feels surreal. A lot of the times, this does not feel real and I have to trust that this is real.

Personally, I have been through a lot and I believe that I am here for a reason. I went through a rough time with depression and anxiety a couple of years ago. There was one person who was always there for me. He helped me get to the place in which I am today. Through my trying times, he taught me about meditation, yoga, essential oils, time management, and speaking things into existence. Now looking back at what I have learned, these are all things that every single person should know.

For students to have the ability to express their true selves. It was a small thought at first, but it has evolved into an idea to bring wellness and creativity together in ONE single place.

Uncovering Joy was born with a thought to create a space for students to have the ability to express their true selves. It was a small thought at first, but it has evolved into an idea to bring wellness and creativity together to ONE single place. I am so excited to be on this journey of creating this place. This website will have blogs on all things health and wellness. For updates about where we are in the process, please visit our social medias! We look forward to the journey ahead that is waiting for us.

Life is not easy, but that doesn't mean it isn't worth it. I was born with a rare disease, Alpha Mannosidosis. It affects every cell in the body. I have been to plenty of doctors and have been able to do things that were never even thought of when I was diagnosed. It's simply because of receiving a life-changing bone marrow transplant at age 4.5 and continuing to push forward no matter the challenge. I am ready to help people and encourage anyone. We can't do this thing called "life" alone, we are better together! #AchieveTheImpossibleToday
